Prank Causes Watery Damage To Home

Remember when you play pranks on friends that you don’t cause any real serious damage to property or people. Here is a story of two teens that forgot that rule when they pulled the following prank on one of their neighbors.
Two Vancouver Island teenagers could be facing charges after a prank flooded the sunken living room of a house, causing tens of thousands of dollars in damage to the hardwood floors.
RCMP in Campbell River, B.C., say the pranksters had propped a garbage can containing at least 100 litres of water against the door of a home on Ash Street on Wednesday.
When the homeowner answered the door, the can tipped over and water gushed through the front hall, spilling into the sunken living room and washing over the hardwood floors of the dining room, according to Sgt. Mallard.
From there, the water seeped through the ceiling, dripping out of fixtures lighting the rooms below.
Damage is estimated at about $20,000, not counting the cost of the two weeks the owners must find somewhere else to live while their home is repaired. Read more of the story here. [source article]

Justin Bieber Prank Calls Miley Cyrus At 3am

It seems Justine Bieber recently pulled a prank call on Miley Cyrus at three am in the morning. Miley Cyrus and Usher were guests on the BBC’s Graham Norton show when she described the prank call Justin Bieber played on her. Miley was so upset with the prank call that she said she is going to kill Justin Bieber. I’m sure she is just kidding.

Students To Pay Big For Fishy Prank

Some students that wanted to play pranks on friends found themselves in a fishy mess. Instead of getting a slap on the hand for their practical joke they will be required to pay up some hard earned cash. Actually it won’t be the kids paying these fines, it will be the parents, of course. If the school administration wanted to actually teach the kids a lesson for their high school prank they would think of a way to discipline them and not punish their parents.
Here is what the news report has to say. The superintendent of a Pittsfield school says students suspended after a senior prank will pay damages estimated at $3,000 to $5,000.
Last week a number of students used a key to get into the Pittsfield Middle High School and then put tape over a security camera.
Reports say the students painted graffiti and some placed dead fish above ceiling tiles.
Superintendent John Freeman said between 15 and 20 students were involved.
One student felt the participants would be required to clean up the mess.
Instead, they were all suspended from school for five days and police are investigating. Criminal charges are possible.

Sack Tapping New Schoolyard Prank

I don’t see how this can be a fun way to play pranks on friends but I guess some kids find this amusing to say the least. According to the news going around about this prank kids find it fun to punch each other in the balls. Hey, what ever floats your boat guys!
The way this prank is played boys gather around voluntarily and trade punches to the groin, hence the term sack tap. Usually a phone is handy and the video is immediately uploaded to YouTube and shared.
This dangerous game is getting some attention now because a boy has lost a testicle from sack tapping.
ABC News has decided to highlight sack tapping. In interviewing a number of doctors, all who seem to be discussing a serious and very violent blow to the crotch, they outline the seriousness of this school yard activity. Dr. Scott Wheeler, a pediatric urologist in Minnesota, warned parent’s about sore scrotum.
“Parents need to talk to their kids about this, and hopefully that will have an impact.”
14-year-old David Gibbons is the teen who lost a testicle. He describe the game as one to see which boy can endure the pain of a knuckle blow via a flicking motion.
David’s mom says, “This may be called a game, but it’s not a game. It’s dangerous and it needs to stop.”
I remember I got kick in the groin when I was younger and it was no fun. I don’t see how these kids can think this is a great prank to play on their friends but it may be a way to get back at your enemies. I don’t know about you, but I’m going to do a search for some sack tapping videos right now.

Bachelor Party Prank Abduction

Here is a great prank to pull on your friends getting married, abduct their fiance. Some friends of the bachelor recently pulled this practical joke off on their friend when they abducted him from a restaurant parking lot. One thing they didn’t count on was the police getting involved.
Philadelphia police investigating an abduction at the Chart House along the waterfront have discovered that it was all part of a prank.
The Chart house manager spotted three men abducting another man from a parked car Wednesday afternoon. He told police, and an investigation began. Morrisvlle, Pa. ,Bucks County, police were also involved. In the end it was a bachelor party prank. But Deputy Commissioner Kevin Bethel says it cost both cities manpower:
“It’s substantial. If you remember, we went very quickly out onto the news, quickly with the vans. There’s a number of people who could have come in harm’s way looking at light vans or people driving light vans. So there was definitely a lot of time, cost and energy to the detriment of something else.” [Source]
Of course we have the police talking about how they need to charge somebody for the cost of manpower it took to go and investigate this prank. It’s not like they were doing anything else anyway. I don’t remember Jackass from MTV getting charged when they pulled this prank on their TV show.
