Talk about a prank gone bad, this one is for the books. Next time you think about pulling a text message prank on one of your friends you better have a good idea on how they will react.
Everyone loves to pull pranks on friends and get a good laugh just make sure you don’t try and pull this practical joke off. This guy was in a bank while his girlfriend was waiting in the car, so what does this genius do? He sends a text message to his girlfriend that is waiting outside, that the bank is being robed!
Here is what was said in the newspaper: On Monday, police in southwest suburban Joliet didn’t LOL when a bank robbery reportedly turned out to be the result of a bored customer’s prank.
At 12:41 p.m. Monday, Jeremy S. Donaldson, 33, was inside the Harris Bank branch at 801 N. Essington Rd. in Joliet while his 36-year-old girlfriend was waiting in the car, Deputy Chief Mike Trafton said.
“He sent her a text message saying a man with a gun was inside the bank,” Trafton said.
But Donaldson’s alleged attempt at humor failed, and the woman called 911 to report a bank robbery.
Could you imagine this poor guy trying to explain to the police that is was all a joke played on his girlfriend and what a brain surgeon she is.
